Ah yea, the Google-braned wikipedia knockoff; suppsed to have
made some solid traction in education markets already too. Wonder
if its a behavioral, data mining exercise on their part.
Seems irritating at first glance, but does seem to have some
potential. @arjw: Who knows
what their plan is. Sometimes Google just seem to be spread out too
far.
@BigEclipse: You're
expected to be knowledgeable in your field, and any changes anyone
else makes have to be approved by the original author. That seems
kind of limiting to me, and doesn't really place Knol in the same
area as Wikipedia. Close, but not exactly the same category imo
That seems to be, but I guess Google thinks the rating of
articles will balance that out. The original author's name
is attached to it, after all, and it wouldn't do
for a supposed expert to provide crappy information, would it?

Well that stinks; if i don't like you, or don't 'approve' your arguments, you're out.
